The RiverWood Studios backlot features a variety of on-site shooting locations, including a six-acre lake, railroad tracks and trestle, forest and field locations, flood plain areas with two large creeks for controlled floods, and other special shooting conditions.
Our unique location and 120 acres also provides for on-site shooting with low outside sound interference.
Local towns and communities near RiverWood Studios also offer some of the finest scene locations in the country, and have been used in such films as "Fried Green Tomatoes", "Pet Sematary Two", "Andersonville", and "The War".
The main back lot feature is our six-acre shooting lake. The lake is anchored throughout with large concrete tie-downs for special effects rigging and shooting. It is plumbed throughout, and utilizes large capacity pumps to raise or lower the water level as desired. Finally, the lake has 360 degrees of shooting capability against a forested background, and can be used with any type of water related filming.
